Southill Community Energy is a community benefit society (the “Society”). It was registered with the Financial Conduct Authority under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Society act 2014 on 16 November 2015 (Registered Society no. 7242).

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on the Site. This includes posting material or requesting further information.

  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

  • Information gathered when you contact us (such as your name, contact details, e-mail address etc).

  • to enable us to respond to queries or provide you with information which you have requested;

  • to provide you with updates, for example, our newsletter or information about our AGM or financial performance reports, if you chose to receive them;

  • to enable the administration of the Society if you are a member or bondholder;

  • to analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support and improve the services that we offer;

  • to allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so.

We may contact you by post or telephone as well as by e-mail. If you change your mind about being contacted in the future by any of these means then please let us know.

Disclosure of your information

The information you provide to us will be treated as confidential. However, we may disclose your information to third parties who act for us for the purposes set out in the policy (see below) or otherwise approved by you.

  • we use a third-party service (The Rocket Science Group LLC (Mailchimp)) to manage our mailing list and send newsletters;

  • we have appointed Sharenergy, a Registered Society (Co-operative No. 31237R), to support us in the daily and annual administration of the Society (applicable only if you are a member or bondholder).

Security

We adopt security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage. Please help us keep our records updated by informing us of any changes to your e-mail address and other contact details.

Changes to our privacy policy

We may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes we will notify you by posting a prominent notice on the Site.
